Hey, guys! My name is Anna Grace Hemphill, and I am from West Point, MS. I graduated from Mississippi State University in 2020. While at MSU, you would most likely find me cheering on the Bulldogs at any athletic event, hanging out at the Kappa Delta house, or studying on campus with a group of friends. My four years at Mississippi State were some of my favorite years, and I am so excited to help future Bulldogs in the steps leading up to their time at MSU!

One Experience Students Shouldn't Miss:

One experience students shouldn't miss is a night game in the student section at Davis Wade Stadium. There is truly something special about being in the stadium, surrounded by other Mississippi State students, and cheering on the Bulldogs. It really is one of those feelings you can't describe, you just have to experience it!

Favorite season on campus:

All seasons on campus are amazing, but my favorite is definitely fall. There is truly nothing better than seeing all students reuniting back on campus after a summer away. Events and organizations are starting back up, and the best part of all is MSU football!

Your School & Major:

I graduated from MSU with a Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education with a concentration in Middle School. Through this coursework and hands-on experience, I discovered my love for working with students which led me to this new role as an admissions counselor.

I loved living in the residence hall because...

Living in the residence hall was one of my favorite parts of my college experience. Freshmen year, I lived in Oak Hall where I met some of my absolute best friends. I loved it so much, I did it again my Sophomore year! Sophomore year, I lived in Hathorn Hall on a floor with all my sorority sisters. Both of these experiences gave me memories that will last a lifetime, and I am so grateful for that!

Favorite thing to do in Starkville:

Starkville always has and always will hold a very special place in my heart. My favorite thing to do while in Starkville is to grab a bite to eat on a patio in the Cotton District on a pretty day. Whether it is getting a burger from Bulldog Burger, chicken and cheese fries from The Bin, or tacos from Two Brothers, there is nothing quite like the mix of the amazing atmosphere and delicious food. Plus, you are almost guaranteed to always run into a friend!

Why did you choose to become an admissions counselor?

I studied Education while at MSU and always knew I wanted to work with students, but I did not necessarily want to be in a classroom setting. I knew being an admissions counselor seemed like the perfect job for me! I am so excited to share with high school students what all Mississippi State has to offer and what makes it such a special place!
