Golden Triangle Regional Airport, located only 15 miles away from campus, supports daily flights from Atlanta (ATL) and Dallas (DFW). A free shuttle service is offered from GTR to MSU and the city of Starkville.

Golden Triangle Regional Airport (GTR) currently offers two daily Delta Airlines flights to and from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL). Starting Monday, May 5, GTR will expand its offerings to include a new daily flight to and from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) with American Airlines.

Rental cars are available at Golden Triangle Regional Airport through Avis, Enterprise, and Hertz. Reservations should be made at least 24 hours in advance. Uber and Lyft are also available transportation options.

In addition to Golden Triangle Regional Airport (GTR), our local regional airport, several other airports within a three-hour drive of Starkville offer other travel options. Visitors may choose to fly into Tupelo Regional Airport (TUP), Jackson–Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport (JAN), Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport (BHM), or Memphis International Airport (MEM). From these airports, visitors can rent a car or find a shuttle service to reach Starkville.
